I felt called to the field of counseling at a young age. Undergraduate work in family psychology led to my interest in working with families and children. With over two decades of working in residential facilities, providing in-home services and working in several agencies, I have a wide range of experience. I have always been drawn to adoption and am grateful for my work with adoptive families. My husband and I adopted our two boys and love supporting other adoptive families.
The truth of the Word of God has brought healing in my own life and I desire for my clients to experience the same. As I sought the help of a therapist during difficult times in life, I know that God also uses professionals to bring healing. I hope to walk alongside my clients, using research backed therapy and the truth of God's word. I am a Prepare-Enrich facilitator, Enneagram trained and I use a combination of therapeutic tools to assist my clients. I am trained in EMDR to assist clients with a history of trauma.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Illinois. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
