Christy F. Jacob is a widely experienced counselor, leadership coach, and speaker with thirty years of experience in the field. Fueled by a commitment to help people find fulfillment in life and their relationships, as well as to reach their potential, she is at her best when engaged in the personal interaction of a counseling or coaching relationship. It is her heart for serving God and helping people that defines her approach in assisting others develop healthier, happier relationships and overcome life's struggles. With her faith, sense of humor, genuineness, and open style of communication, Christy conveys her positive outlook on life and her passion for helping others in every session.
Her experience as a therapist includes both inpatient and outpatient settings and in treating a full spectrum of populations. Her primary focus is on adults and she specializes in marital and family therapy. However, she is also an experienced children's play therapist and sees clients of all ages. Christy has also distinguished herself as a consummate professional and leader among corporate professionals while working as a professional speaker and consultant. In the corporate world, she has worked extensively in the area of personal wellness, leadership, and interpersonal relationship development and is known as an enthusiastic leader of seminars and an engaging speaker.
Christy holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Sociology and Psychology and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology with postgraduate work in Counseling Psychology and Psychometry. Her professional credentials include: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor Counseling Supervisor (LPC-S), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Board Certified Coach (BCC) with specialty designations in Executive/Corporate/Leadership/Business Coaching and Personal/Life Coaching and is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, and Constructed Awareness.
Christy believes that relationships are the source of our greatest joys and our greatest hurts in life. Helping people develop healthy, fulfilling relationships is one of her deepest passions. Out of this passion, she developed and authored the PAIR – Personality Awareness Inventory for Relationships. PAIR is more than a traditional personality profile; it helps people understand how different personality styles interact in relationships, increases emotional intelligence through self-awareness and awareness of others, and provides practical tools for effective communication and meeting one another's needs.
In addition to her clinical work, Christy is dedicated to honoring God by serving others through leadership, mentoring, and community involvement. She is a veteran of numerous Executive Committees and Directorial Boards, has served as chairman of her church's personnel committee, counseling/prayer director, and, alongside her husband, faithfully taught Sunday School for over two decades. As LPC-S (Supervising Counselor) and Clinical Director of Covenant, she thrives in guiding others to their fullest potential. She also co-founded and serves as Executive Director of the Eunoia Project, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on empowering disadvantaged and marginalized populations through psychological services, benevolent works, and diverse interventions. She also remains passionately involved in local and international missions.
Christy and her husband, Mark, share a deep love for each other and for life's adventures. Whether they're traveling or simply relaxing at home, they cherish every moment spent together. Creating lasting memories with their family is also a source of immense joy for them. Christy's love for animals, particularly dogs, brings her tremendous happiness and fulfillment.
