Mark JacobLICSW, PIP

Mark Jacob Mark Jacob has a passion for helping individuals, couples, and families work through their struggles. He has over 25 years of experience in the mental health field working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He started his career working with foster children with the Department of Human Resources before going to work at the Mental Health Center. While at the Mental Health Center Mark worked primarily with the general adult population.

Mark enjoys seeing a diverse group of clients ranging in age from early childhood to late adulthood. Although he has earned a strong reputation as an adolescent specialist and particularly enjoys helping teens navigate those difficult years, he also enjoys seeing all ages as well as working with couples in marriage counseling.

Mark and his wife of 14 years enjoy growing in their faith and spending time with their family. He has also thoroughly enjoyed mission work both locally and abroad. He has a heart to reach out to those in need of hope and show them the mercy of Jesus. He is currently a Sunday School teacher for 3rd grade with his wife and is also on the prayer and counseling team with the outreach campus at First Baptist.

Mark obtained his Bachelor’s of Arts in psychology at The University of Alabama. He then earned his Masters in Social Work, his LICSW and his PIP.
