Caleb BlackmanMS, LICSW

Caleb Blackman I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alabama with a concentration in children, adolescents, and families. Most of my professional experience has been in the outpatient and inpatient mental health setting working with individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, and interpersonal relationships. I also spent time working at the Department of Human Resources as a foster care social worker.

My therapeutic philosophy is heavily influenced by my Christian Faith and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have a passion for helping others realize that, because we are image-bearers of God (Genesis 1:27) our lives have meaning, value, and purpose. We all find ourselves in times of trouble and suffering in varying degrees, but Jesus said, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world” (John 16:33). My hope and prayer is that I can help others with their burdens (Galatians 6:2), admonish those who need it, comfort those who are discouraged and provide aid in times of weakness (1 Thessalonians 5:14).
